These implementation details sit behind the user-facing experience. VE-Display keeps the original decoder safeguards and processes compatible Victron BLE Instant Readout data locally.
DIAGNOSTICS
Correct packet alignmentThe Victron encrypted payload is decoded from byte 10, after product ID, record type, nonce and key-check byte.
MANUFACTURER DATA
Victron company ID 0x02E1VE-Display parses manufacturer record type 0x10 and reads product ID, readout type, record type, data counter and key-check byte before decrypting payload data.
CRYPTO
AES-CTRThe encrypted payload starts at byte 10 and is decoded locally with the user-provided 16-byte advertisement key.
BIT-LEVEL PARSER
Little-endian fieldsBattery monitor values such as current, consumed Ah and state of charge are decoded with a little-endian bit reader for non-byte-aligned fields.
