Truma Control (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the Truma Control mobile application (the “App”).

2.1 Information We DO NOT Collect
The Truma Control App is designed with privacy as a priority. We DO NOT:

Store any information on our servers
2.2 Information Processed Locally
The App processes the following data only on your device:
MQTT connection settings (host, port, credentials)
Temperature and system status data from your Truma heating system

Error codes and system status information
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third parties.
3. MQTT Connection Data
When you configure the App to connect to your MQTT broker:
Connection details (hostname, port, username, password) are stored locally on your device
These credentials are used only to establish connection with your specified MQTT broker
We have no access to your MQTT broker or any data transmitted through it
It is your responsibility to secure your MQTT broker according to best practices
4. Permissions
The App requires the following permissions:
4.1 Network Access
Required to connect to your MQTT broker
Used only for establishing the MQTT connection you configure
No other network access is used
4.2 Background Operation
Required to maintain MQTT connection in background
Allows continuous monitoring of your heating system
No data is transmitted to external services
5. Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your iOS device:
Using iOS secure storage mechanisms
Data is encrypted by iOS security features
Data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App
6. Third-Party Services
The App does NOT use:
Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
Advertising networks
Crash reporting services
Any third-party tracking or data collection services
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
